Facebook Pixel and Standard Events

There are countless features within the Facebook Ads Manager that I’m simply obssessed with because they make that difference between effective and ineffective advertising. But there’s one that really stands out, one that takes the prize every. single. time.

A feature so effective that still makes advertisers smile today, even though it was launched years ago.

And that’s retargeting.

Retargeting is literally having the power of targeting your most loyal audience, whether that are your website visitors, subscribers, people who like your Facebook Page and other audiences. But retargeting doesn’t happen magically, you can’t retarget your website visitors from thin air. In order to take the full advantage of this feature, you need to do a little bit of work.

You need to install a Facebook Pixel.

Facebook Pixel isn’t anything scary or technical to the point you would need an experienced developer to help you figure out how it works. It’s actually incredibly simple, it’s a snippet of short code that you implement on your webpage once and viola — you’re able to retarget your homepage visitors, visitors of a specific blog post, visitors of your sales page, you name it. After installing you’ll also be able to track conversions, sales, you’ll be able to track how many people sign up for your email list, you’ll basically have a really incredible power.

And as I mentioned, you can implement a Facebook Pixel yourself! Trust me, I’m not a developer either. The only skill you need is the skill of copy-pasting something. And I’m pretty sure there’s not a single person who doesn’t know how to do that.

So let’s go copy-pasting!
